In this talk, we will try to argue and to show through fundamental examples that (a very huge class of) marginally trapped surfaces arise naturally from a ‘lightlike co-contact structure’, exactly in the same way as Legendrian fronts arise from a contact one (by projection of a Legendrian submanifold to the base of a Legendrian fibration), and that there is an adjunction relationship between both notions. We especially focus our interest on marginally trapped hedgehogs and study their relationships with Laguerre geometry and Brunn-Minkowski theory.
We formulate a notion of self-similar solution for the mean curvature flow in warped spaces, in particular space forms. Some basic foundational results will be discussed in the sequel.

We present a survey of recent results on existence and nonexistence of graphs with prescribed mean curvature and asymptotic boundary on Cartan-Hadarmard manifolds.

Sormani and Wenger defined integral current spaces and the intrinsic flat distance between them. These spaces are based on the definition of integral current structure given by Ambrosio and Kirchheim. By definition, IF limits are rectifiable. In general, Gromov-Hausdorff and intrinsic flat limits need not agree and GH limits need not be rectifiable. One of the most recent advances about the interplay between GH and IF convergence is due to Matveev and Portegies. They proved that when a sequence of manifolds is noncollapsing and has a Ricci lower bound then the IF and GH limits essentially agree.
In this talk, I will go over the results about IF and GH limits coinciding. In particular, I will talk about sequences of manifolds with boundary and metric spaces satisfying the tetrahedral property and the generalised tetrahedral property.
In this talk, we prove that the Min-Oo's conjecture holds if we consider a compact connected locally conformally flat manifold with boundary such that the eigenvalues of the Schouten tensor satisfy a fully nonlinear elliptic inequality, and the mean curvature of the boundary is controled bellow by the mean curvature of a geodesic ball in the standard unit-sphere.

The Lojasiewicz-Simon gradient inequality is a generalization, due to Leon Simon (1983), to analytic or Morse-Bott functionals on Banach manifolds of the finite-dimensional gradient inequality, due to Stanislaw Lojasiewicz (1963), for analytic functions on Euclidean space. We shall discuss several recent generalizations of the Lojasiewicz-Simon gradient inequality and a selection of their applications, such as global existence and convergence of Yang-Mills gradient flow over four-dimensional manifolds and discreteness of the energy spectrum for harmonic maps from Riemann surfaces into analytic Riemannian manifolds.
